The vacuum unit is very compact and has been designed to filter particles down to 0.6 microns The vacuum works on a negative pressure system, allowing the paper bag to be changed without risk of loosing the contents. The system works using three filters - one paper filter which would be changed on a daily basis depending on the usage, one cloth bag filter which can be washed out and a fully disposable micron filter which extracts particles down to 0.6 microns.

and the Swordfish 4000 has been specifically designed with these features in mind. The hand piece can be fully immersed for washing and sterilization safely without danger. It has been designed for ergonomic efficiency to reduce operator fatigue and is one of the quietest saws available at only 37dBa. Four different blades are available-64mm Circular in either Plaster or Autopsy setting, 76mm Circular and a 51mm Segmented blade for Autopsy. The vacuum hood can be cut and shaped for better visibility without any compromise in particle removal.

Power Supply

The Power Supply uses a one button operation to turn on both the saw and the vacuum and is protected to IPX5 indicating its safety in a mortuary environment
with no risk with water.
